One burner lit with a lazy yellow flame and sooted the pan. He cleaned the burner head and cap, checked the orifice and set the air. A clean blue cone now, and he left the other burners adjusted to match.

Pricing
Flat $80 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work.
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor is billed.
How it works
The diagnostic buys the measurements, not a guess. Nothing is ordered and no labour is billed until the estimate is in your hand.
$80 to diagnose
This is the one fixed price on the site. Everything after it is a band rather than a figure, because what a repair costs is decided by the part, and the table below is what completed work of each kind has actually come to.
The diagnostic is flat rather than hourly. A fault that takes forty minutes to find and one that takes two hours cost you the same, which removes any reason for us to hurry the part of the visit that decides everything else.
Terms
Completed work, parts and labor together, across every band we keep figures for. The visit itself is $80 and comes off the total once you approve the repair.
| What gets replaced | Parts and labor |
|---|---|
| Igniter, spark module or surface element | $200–$490 |
| Oven thermostat or temperature sensor | $190–$510 |
| Bake or broil element | $200–$570 |
| Convection fan or motor | $260–$710 |
| Control board or touch panel | $430–$1,090 |
| Door hinge, glass or seal | $190–$630 |
| Refrigeration column sealed system | $850–$2,520 |
Before any of that
$80
Flat $80 diagnostic covering the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, credited toward the repair once you approve the work.
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labor is billed.
A comparable Thermador wall oven, rangetop or column, appliance only — before delivery, installation or cabinetry. National appliance pricing, not Florida labour.
| Replacing it instead | Appliance only |
|---|---|
| Wall oven, the usual repair-or-replace comparison | $4,200–$9,500 |
| Professional rangetop or range | $5,500–$14,500 |
The comparison we actually make
A repair that lands in the lower bands is rarely a close call against a cabinet full of new joinery. One that reaches the top of the sealed-system band, on an appliance already past its second decade, usually is — and the estimate says so in writing rather than leaving you to work it out.
Whatever we fit carries 90 days on labor and 365 days on the part.
Four steps, and you decide at the third one. Nothing is ordered, billed or fitted before that.
We take the model and serial number, the symptom, and the address. That decides which parts ride along, which is the whole reason we work Thermador and nothing else.
The $80 covers travel into St. Johns County, the testing, and a plain explanation of what failed and why. It is a flat figure, not an hourly one.
Parts and labor, itemised, before anything is ordered. If the repair is not worth doing on that appliance, the estimate says so and you owe the diagnostic only.
Approve the estimate and the $80 comes off the total. Payment is due when the work is finished and the appliance has been tested in front of you.
Parts
Genuine OEM parts. Control boards, valves and sensors in these appliances are matched to the model rather than generic, and an aftermarket substitute that half-works costs more in the end than the correct part did.
Second visits
If a part has to be ordered, the return visit to fit it carries no second diagnostic. You pay the diagnostic once per fault.
Still in factory warranty?
Call the manufacturer first. Under that coverage the work should cost you nothing, and we will tell you so rather than take the booking.

The rangetop cut out whenever the oven below was running. He measured the circuit under load and showed us the sag, which turned out to be a loose lug in the panel rather than anything wrong with the appliance.

The interior lights flickered for a fortnight and then quit altogether. He found water had tracked into the lamp module along a badly routed harness, rerouted it, sealed the entry point and fitted the replacement.
